THE BIG BREW FEST-a benefit for BILL BREWER

Bill has been performing in the Chattanooga music scene with local bands for the past 35 years and is an avid supporter of Live Music in this area. Most recently he has been with Chattanooga’s #1 Cover band, THE CORE. As well as serving his Friends of Festival at River Bend as the Drum Production Manager for all stages for 7 years. In Nashville he backed artist such as Lynn Anderson (I never promised you a rose garden) for 5 years, Phillip Paul and Mr. Cody Mc Carver for 7 years.

Bill’s illness started surfacing 4 months ago with weakness, dizziness and just all around not feeling like himself. He was rush to the emergency room where they determined he was loosing blood internally and it was causing extreme anemia. He also began losing vision in both eyes. It was determined that Bill had Ischemic Optic Neuropathy, starvation or low blood flow to the optic nerve caused by a trauma such as stoke in the body.

They have fixed the intestinal issues and he is regaining his strength everyday but Bill is still struggling with the major loss of his eyesight. At this point no definite word has been given on weather he will ever regain all but Bill is determined he will play better than ever regardless! Doctor’s have released him to begin some light teaching and playing, and it his Bill’s goal to be back to his passion of playing normal again soon.

Music and Drums have always been his main source of income. The medical expenses are mounding and we want to help our friend and fellow musician that has helped so many of us over the years get back on his feet again.

So don’t miss this HUGE event for a good cause. The Big Brew Festival will feature some of Chattanooga’s most popular bands and host several of the area’s favor vendors. The Steel Brother’s MC will be hosting the Bike Show, $5 to enter with trophies awarded in 5 classes. Help us honor a man that has entertained us for years in Chattanooga with your support
